All Aboard: Bringing a Pullman Coach Back to Life

We recently had the pleasure of working on another classic Pullman coach as part of a refurbishment project for Belmond Rail, carried out at the Arlington Fleet Services paint shop. Not your typical sign job, but then again, we’ve never been ones to stay on the platform.
A Different Kind of Canvas
Coaches aren’t exactly small, and working on a Pullman is a bit like stepping back into a golden age of travel. Think timeless design, elegant detailing, and a lot of pride in the finish. Our role? To provide the graphics and precision paint stencils that would help bring this iconic coach back to its former glory.
Precision Meets Craftsmanship
Creating paint stencils for a project like this is all about accuracy. Every line, curve, and letter needs to be spot-on, because when it’s applied to a freshly painted coach, there’s no room for second guesses. Our team carefully produced stencils that ensured consistent, clean results across the entire train car.
The graphics themselves were designed to complement the heritage aesthetic, blending seamlessly with the craftsmanship of the Arlington Fleet Services team. It’s always satisfying to see how our work fits into the bigger picture, especially when that picture happens to be a beautifully restored train.
Full Steam Ahead
Projects like this remind us why we love what we do. Whether it’s signage for a shop front or graphics for a luxury rail coach, it all comes down to attention to detail, collaboration, and a passion for quality.
So next time you see a beautifully restored train gliding past, just remember, there’s a lot more than paint behind that finish.
And who knows… we might have had a hand in it!
Got a project that’s a little outside the box? We’re always up for the journey.
